Prospecting Tips for a Slow Economy
by Patricia Fripp, CSP, CPAE
Frippicisim: It is not your clients' and prospects' job to remember you. It is your obligation and responsibility to make sure they don't forget you.
1. Don't overlook the obvious. Go through your address book, data base, Christmas card list and confirm everybody you know is familiar with your profession, what your specialty is, and who is the perfect prospect for you to best serve.
2. If you used to work in another industry, update your satisfied clients that you can still serve them in this different capacity.
3. Keep in touch with your present clients more frequently. Not just asking for referrals. The better your relationship with them the more they will want to send you new prospects.
4. One of my friends in the advertising specialty business had a very creative office decor. Anyone who had seen it raved about it. Going up in the elevator of his building of 22 floors I had a conversation with a fellow passenger. I asked, "Do you work in this building or are you visiting?" He mentioned he had worked there for 2 years. I inquired if he had ever heard of my friend Jonathan and his unique and memorable office. He said "No." My recommendation to my friend and everyone else who works in a large building is to every few months go from floor to floor, office to office, and introduce yourself to your neighbors. You could well quadruple your business close to home.
5. Don't forget to work on your sales presentation skills!

Ways To Gain Money With Freebie Trade
Mar/100
Freebie trade – processing or end of offers or to force transfers to finish on consideration offers concerning the websites known as incentive websites of a freebie.
If you ever finished offers rather, “are paid” to some sites you were in freebie business all time, but you receive the paid pennies in comparison with that you could become paid if you have to make those same proposals rather incentive websites of a freebie.
There are two ways to gain money with freebie trade.
The first method rises with the dealer at a forum of a freebie and finishes sites, which they have in stock for you to make. You can usually do between 15$ and 100$ for a site on which you “go green”.
What is valid “there is green” an avaricious? Going green colour means that you have successfully finished the requirements of the offer listed on incentive websites of a freebie that you continue to work. You typically should force 1 – 2 “credits” “to go green”.
The majority of offers concerning freebie sites will cost between 1/8 credits and 2 credits. As soon as you have finished the offer, and the freebie site has obtained the credit (their commission fee) for you, doing it, to you give the appointed sum of the credit.
Then, as soon as you have finished requirement for the site credit (again, it usually between 1 and 2 credits), you finish the trade with the dealer that you work with from a freebie forum.
As soon as you have made approximately 6-10 sites of a freebie, you will have an ability to progress on the second method.
In the second method you start to consider a freebie, trading as your own personal business online. You should start to make the name at forums and other websites to start to receive transfers on consideration.
You send transfers on consideration to the same incentive websites of a freebie, which you have finished. You will send the transfers on consideration to sites with unique communication of transfer on consideration, which each site gives you.
If your transfers on consideration are badly familiar with freebie trade, conduct them through steps that you took, that “to go green”.
As soon as your transfers on consideration “go green”, to you will pay through electronic purse. You can usually expect 40$ for transfer on consideration. Distinction here – that you will give approximately half from this to your transfer on consideration for payment for movement green for you.
In the first method, you finally will settle offers and be able not gain money more. But with the second method while you enter new transfers on consideration, you will have a continuous stream of the income in stock.
The big thing about freebie trade – that even in the first method you can start to gain money in the very first day.
How much can I make?
That, how many you do, completely depends on quantity of time and efforts which you wish to put to it.

Over the weekend of March 5-7th 2010, I hosted my “One Year Total Business Makeover” workshop event for the first time, in beautiful San Diego, CA.
100 incredible people attended this event, including business owners and entrepreneurs. We gathered at the Sheraton Hotel by the Harbor, and for 3 straight days, we got to work.

4 Do’s in Selling Your Ideas to Senior Management:Business Communications
Mar/100
Four Do's in Selling Your Ideas to Senior Management
By Patricia Fripp, Expert in Business Communications
Just getting ready for my Speaking School. Communicating to executives is one of the topics that we will discuss.
It's no secret… the higher up the corporate ladder you go the more important your pubic speaking skills become. If you have your sites set on increased responsibility and the position and salary that go with them you will need to position yourself ahead of the crowd in advance. At all stages of your career you need to sell yourself, your ideas, your value, and your ability. To position yourself for promotion you need to learn what it takes to sell yourself and your ideas to senior management. That requires learning high level public speaking skills; learn from these public speaking tips
1. Open with your conclusions. Don't make your senior level audience wait to find out why you are there.
2. Describe the benefits if your recommendation is adopted. Make these benefits seem vivid and obtainable.
3. Describe the costs, and frame them in a positive manner. If possible, show how not following your recommendation will cost even more…
4. List your specific recommendations, and keep it on target. Wandering generalities will lose their interest. You must focus on the bottom line. Report on the deals, not the details.

Closing the Sale…
Mar/100
I am sure that everyone has days like this. Up at dawn or before, off to the first appointment, back to the office, then computer updating…phone calls…collecting your money, making the sale…forgetting to eat. Last night it was really refreshing to listen to Will Murphy talk about the launch of a new product and how his team had spent the last year or so doing the research and getting their act together. He talked about how big companies are really focused now on leveraging the use of social media. And he shared some of his past successes in small business, several of which are now doing big business. Without knowing it, he helped me understand how his role at Emerge Memphis is really part of a small business initiative rather than just another big business getting funding to do new projects. As the evening evolved into something more informal, I was surprised at the energy that filled the room. There were maybe 20 people there. The facilities at The Crescent Club were great and set the stage for making meaningful contacts. I always go to these things with the expectation that I will meet people and make contacts, but not necessarily close the sale right away. Well, I can tell you that we closed out some business last night and set the stage for terrific results in 2010 in several different ways. The glass of wine on an empty stomach went a long way. I’ll probably do this differently next time…or maybe not! Tags: business, networking, referrals
